I graduate from Xiamen University in China with a BS in physics. After briefly studying in Kent State University in physics, I transferred to Emory to work with Prof. Berland for a Ph.D in biophysics. My project in Berland Lab focuses on the mobility and interactions of NLS-cargo and its nuclear transport receptors in living mammalian cells using fluorescence fluctuation spectroscopy and fluorescence imaging. I also did quite amount of work to study excitation saturation and its effect on the observation volume and therefore FCS measurements. |
