The Dilks Lab focuses on three big questions about human vision:

1. How is the adult visual cortex functionally organized?

2. How does this organization get wired up in development?

3. How does the visual system change in adulthood?

To address these questions, we use a variety of methods, including psychophysics and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) in typical children, adults, and individuals with developmental disorders or brain damage, as well as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) in typical adults – whatever it takes to answer the question.
